Social Responsibility

|  Thandanani Home, Soweto | Registration# NPO:039-049

Skhumbuzo Mashaba fondly known as “Aus Rose” established her home in 2005 and is an independent, registered facility in Soweto. She receives some support from the Gauteng Social Welfare Department and provides food, shelter, and aid and care giving to the most needy of children based in Soweto. The kids under her care are mostly those who are orphaned and lost their parents from HIV/Aids, she also extends her care to assist kids in the neighborhood who live with their grandparents, offering them also a day-care where they are able to eat, play with other kids while allowing the elderly to get some relief of their care-giving duties, this includes school holiday season.

Aus Rose’s Charity hosts kids from age 9 to aged 20, both boys and girls. The kids do attend varying institutions of learning, age appropriate and would benefit from the regular things any normal child would need daily i.e. clothing, shoes, sheets, toweling, toiletries, backpack/stationery, reading material, toys & for the older girls: sanitary towels.

Motivated by the spirit of Ubuntu, Aus Rose’s Home serves alongside the poor and impoverished as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people and has provided for the shortfalls in her community.

Malkia met Aus’ Rose and her children for the first time in December  2016, we immediately fell in love with the energy of goodwill coming off Aus’ Rose’s intent to just give the kids a proper sort of childhood experience. We welcome any form of donation i.e. cash, toys, clothes etc. Please contact us should you wish to volunteer any goods
